Betty Lou David, 86, of Wilmington, DE, passed away Friday, July 18, 2025. Born in Wildwood, NJ, on November 14, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Addie Williams Risley.

Mrs. David retired after working as a registered nurse for the Chrysler Corporation for over 30 years, where her dedication to helping others touched the lives of many. She had a deep love for her family, always putting them first and creating cherished memories with those she loved. Her love of animals, especially for her horse Sassy, brought her great joy. Mrs. David and her husband enjoyed their retirement in Salt Springs, FL, along with their many rescue dogs where they lived for over 25 years. She also had an avid passion for reading, which gave her a sense of peace and comfort.

Survivors include her children, Deborah Sweetman (Jay), Townsend, DE, Chuck David (Lynne), Newark, DE, and Donna David (Jose), Wilmington, DE; grandchildren, Ashley Phillips (DJ), Morgan Moyer (Bryan), Jaqlyn Ulibarri (Dan), Tyler George (Lauren), Corey Lee Ryan (Matt), Dominick David, and Emily Grimes (Scottie); great-grandchildren, Logan Phillips, Grayson Phillips, Owen Moyer, Lulu Moyer, Josie Ulibarri, Bryce George, Marina Ryan, Bodhi Ulibarri, Grant Moyer, Sonny Ryan, and Dawson Grimes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Charles Robert David, Sr.
