Bertha C. Cline, 83, of Elkton, MD departed this earth and earned her angel wings on Saturday, February 24, 2024. Born in West Virginia on December 23, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Ester May Miller.
Bertha was a hard worker and was proud of the work she performed as a caregiver for her patients. She was passionate about her faith and would often quote bible scripture and applied the Gospel teaching in her daily life. Deeply rooted in her Native American heritage and nature, she would fondly recall memories of her childhood in West Virginia and of time spent during her dream vacation to Alaska.
Survivors include her daughters, Debbie Ross, and Sherry Crouse; son-in-law, Randy Crouse; grandchildren, Heather Crouse Quinteros, Andrew Crouse, Cory Ross, Zach Ross, Brittany Keplinger, Kassandra Cline, Tyler Cline, Katelynn Cline, and Jessica Cline; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Hamm; and lifelong friend, Rose Biggs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ottis Cline; sons, Delbert Lee Cline, Martin Cline, Allen Cline, and son-in-law, Bill Ross.
Funeral service will be held 2 PM, Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921 with visitation beginning at 1 PM. Private Interment will be in Gilpin Manor Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hicks Home for Funerals, P.A. at the above address to help defray funeral expenses.
