Bernice Ann Jackson, 86, of Elkton, MD passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024. Born in Carroll County, MD on March 24, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Ralph T. and Martha Carter Shivery.

Mrs. Jackson had been the co-owner of Snooks Towing, alongside her husband for many years. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in North East, and found great joy in the simple pleasures of life such as, sewing, boating, baking, and crocheting.

Survivors include her children, Larry Jackson (Bonnie), Elkton, MD, Deborah Settlemyre, West Grove, PA, Cynthia Edwards (Randy), Kathleen Miller (Tommy), both of North East, MD, Arthur Jackson, Jr. (Leah), Chesapeake City, MD, and Sharon Jackson, Elkton, MD; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Arthur L. Jackson, Sr.; daughter, Bonny Jackson; son, Tommy Jackson; and siblings, Florence Thomas Borner, Harry Shivery, Joseph R. Shivery, and Herbert Shivery.

Graveside service will be held 2 PM, Monday, April 8, 2024 at Gilpin Manor Memorial Park, Appleton Road, Elkton, MD.
