Barbara Lee Rash, 82, of Delmar, DE passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024. Born in Chester County, PA on February 20, 1942, she was the daughter of the late George and Gladys Greer Rash.

Ms. Rash dedicated many years to and later retired from the Avon Corporation, where she was a valued member of the office team. Beyond her professional life, Barbara was deeply devoted to her faith community at Church John:21, she found great joy in attending services there. She also loved the simple pleasures of life, such as tending to her garden, cooking for others, sewing, and reading.

Survivors include her children, John Walstrum, Jr. (Deana Rhodes), Marydel, DE, and Athena Petuya, Bridgeville, DE; grandchildren, Adrienne Walstrum-Jones, Christopher Walstrum, and Jonnie Blough; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Natalie, Charleigh, Miley, Mila, and Emerson; and sister, Judy Hart (Roger), Elkton, MD.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, John Walstrum, III; and brothers, George (Max) Rash, Sr., and David Rash.

Funeral service will be held 12 PM, Friday, April 19, 2024 at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921, with visitation beginning at 11 AM. Interment will be in Oxford Cemetery, Oxford, PA.
