Barbara Frantsi Pinder, 75, of Elkton, MD passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024. Born in Elkton on May 13, 1948, she was the daughter of the late A. Edwin and Hilda Lusby Frantsi.
Mrs. Pinder retired from Cecil County Public Schools as a Paraprofessional, she had worked at Gilpin Manor Elementary School and Cecil Manor Elementary School. Mrs. Pinder was also an active member of Elkton United Methodist Church, where she had been a Sunday school teacher for 50 years and a member of the senior choir and bell choir.
Survivors include her loving husband of 58 years, William Pinder, Jr.; daughters, Melissa Chambers (Mike), Elkton, MD, and Tanya Dobrowolski (Dave), Rising Sun, MD; grandchildren, Courtney Shoun, Jenna Chambers, Kailee Dobrowolski, Timmy Dobrowolski, and Matthew Dobrowolski; great-granddaughter, Zoey; brothers, Bob Frantsi (Carolyn), Bill Frantsi (Louise), and John Frantsi; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, William Pinder, III.
Visitation will be held from 6 PM – 8 PM Friday, March 1, 2024 at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921. Funeral service will be held 10 AM, Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Elkton United Methodist Church, 219 E. Main Street, Elkton, MD 21921. Interment will be in Gilpin Manor Memorial Park, Elkton, MD.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Elkton United Methodist Church Educational Program or to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, in care of Hicks Home for Funerals at the above address.
