Anthony “Tony” Paul Antonio, 61, of North East, Maryland, passed away Monday, August 24, 2026. Born December 5, 1964, in Wilmington, Delaware, Tony was the son of Judith A. Shanahan and the late Richard Antonio Sr. He was raised by his mother, Judith, and stepfather, Frank Shanahan. 

Above all, Tony was a devoted father. His daughters, Leah Pauline Antonio, Macey Rose Antonio, and Kelsie Andrea Seldomridge, meant more to him than anything in the world. 

Tony had a deep love for animals and was especially dedicated to helping Macey care for their horses and dogs. His compassion extended to the stray cats at his workplace, where he would go every weekend to feed them and make sure they had shelter through the winter. 

He also loved music and spending time with close friends. Some of his favorite memories were taking his daughters to concerts and sharing that love of music with them. 

Tony will be remembered for his kindness, his love of animals, and his goofy sense of humor. Most of all, he will be remembered for how deeply he loved his family. 

He is survived by his wife, Allison Seldomridge Antonio; his daughters, Leah, Macey, and Kelsie; his mother, Judith; his stepfather, Frank; and his brother, Richard Antonio Jr. 

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 31, 2026, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, Maryland, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private at All Saints Cemetery in Wilmington. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Tony’s memory to House of Hope or Midatlantic Horse Rescue.
