Dr. Anthony Joseph Macherone, Jr., 59, of Elkton, MD passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024. Born in Sanford, FL on September 1, 1964, he was the son of Leslie Miller Senecal (Raymond), Schenectady, NY.

Dr. Macherone was an Analytical Chemist for Agilent Technologies in Wilmington, DE. He earned a PHD in philosophy and his chemistry degree from Temple University. Dr. Macherone loved to cook and spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren; he also enjoyed fishing and playing the guitar.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his sons, Robert Castorina, Jenkintown, PA, and Brandon Macherone, Elkton, MD; grandchildren, Iyana Castorina, Carson Macherone, Kinsley Macherone; siblings, Raymond Senecal (Christine), Gail Heffner Senecal, Donna DeLaFleur (Greg); and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 32 years, Angela F. Macherone; and maternal grandparents, William and Elspeth Miller.

Memorial Mass will be held 11AM, Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Immaculate Conception Church, 454 Bow Street, Elkton, MD 21921, with visitation from 9:45 AM – 10:45 AM in the Church Chapel. Interment will be private.
