Anna Lee Halcomb 77, of Elkton, MD passed away Monday, August 21, 2023. Born in Wilmington. DE on September 5,1945. She was the daughter of the late Burl and Ruth Gallaher Wheatley.

Mrs. Halcomb retired from the University of Delaware where she had been a custodian.

Survivors include her daughter Cheryl Barber and Spud Barber of Elkton, MD; siblings, Lura Mae Wheatley (Pete), Northeast, MD, Geraldine Wheatley, Rising Sun, MD, Burl Wheatley Jr (Shirley), Jackie Hubbert (Fred), Darlene Wheatley, Tina Cordill (Tony), all of Elkton, MD and Joann Gordon Wilmington, DE; three grandchildren, Steven Barber (Tina), Brittany Smith (Brandon), and Cole Couden; two great grandchildren, Brantley and Kaylee Barber; and special friend, Jim Chadwick.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Halcomb was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Irvin Halcomb and daughter Wanda Halcomb.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, August 28,2023 at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W Stockton St. Elkton, MD where visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Elkton, Cemetery.
