Alan Larry Sexton, 75, of Elkton, MD passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024. Born in Elkton on September 11, 1949, he was the son of the late Avery and Violet Lemon Sexton.

Alan enjoyed a fulfilling career as a Human Resources Supervisor, dedicating 29 years to Thiokol before continuing his work at Susquehanna Workforce. Beyond his professional achievements, Alan was deeply devoted to his church, where he found joy in serving his community and building connections with those around him. He also took great pride in his lawn, often seen tending to it with care.

Survivors include his children, Rachel David (Brian), Elkton, MD, Jim Sexton (Jennifer), Elkton, VA, Kate Goeller (Samuel), Herndon, VA, and Matthew Sexton (Samantha Dougherty), Elkton, MD; grandchildren, Ryan Presley, Evelyn Sexton, Allie Sexton, Brian David II, Morgan David, Kelsey David, Quinn David, Alexander Goeller, Adaline Goeller, Eleanor Goeller, Ian Sexton, and Madeline Sexton; great-granddaughters, Ellie Presley, and Violet Butler; and brother, Jay Sexton, North East, MD.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Sexton.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM, Friday, September 27, 2024 at Immaculate Conception Church, 454 Bow Street, Elkton, MD 21921, with visitation beginning at 9:45 AM in the Church Chapel. Interment will be private.
